hip and knee position definitions
Coxa Vara:  The condition where the angle between the "head" of the femur (thigh) bone is excessively small.  The thigh bones are then pointed in towards each other, leading to a "knock kneed" appearance.   

Coxa Valga:    The condition where the angle between the "head" of the femur (thigh) bone is excessively large.  The thigh bones then splay away from each other.

Genu Varum:  The condition of being bow-legged.

Genu Valgum:  The condition of being knock-kneed.

 

Tibial Varum:  The condition of being bow-legged.

Tibial Valgum:  The condition of being knock-kneed.
